Chad Kasdin, a former partner at a large national defense firm, joined Corboy & Demetrio in 2024, bringing with him nearly 24 years of litigation experience in the areas of professional liability, including medical malpractice defense, business and commercial litigation, and premises liability.
In 2024, Chad was selected to Illinois Leading Lawyers in three in plaintiff's personal injury, professional malpractice and product liability, an designation that fewer than 5% of attorneys in the state achieve.
Chad was the Recipient of a Trial Excellence Award by Jury Verdict Reporter in the category of “Outstanding Defense Verdict in a Premises Liability Case” in 2013. He was recognized as one of Illinois’ Top “40 under Forty” by the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and Chicago Lawyer magazine in 2014. Chad was selected to Rising Stars by Illinois Super Lawyers for several consecutive years. In addition, he was a Member of the “Global Access Lawyers” network of top insurance lawyers.
He is a frequent lecturer at legal and business conferences.
In 2021, Chad served as Guest Speaker of a UK firm to present on the topic of the U.S. opioid crisis for European insurers seeking access to the U.S. market. He served as Invited Guest Speaker for several years at the U.S. National Sports Safety and Security Conference on topics involving safety issues at sporting venues. In addition, Chad has taught lawyers in connection with his former firm’s continuing legal education series on topics including: Deposition Strategies, Introduction of Evidence Through the Use of Courtroom Technology and Written Communications in Litigation.
Chad obtained his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis in 2000.
He obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English and American Studies from Skidmore College in 1997 and played all four years on the Varsity Basketball team, serving as Captain from 1996-1997. Chad was selected to the NCAA Academic All-America basketball team and Academic All-Conference basketball team.
Chad is admitted to the State Bar of Illinois and to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.
In community work, Chad serves on the Board of the Park District of Highland Park (PDHP) Athletic Booster Club, and is a Youth Athletics coach for SBC, Wow Factor, CBE and PDHP.
