$14.6 Million Settlement for Student Injured on School Trampoline
After 17 years and two Illinois Supreme Court opinions, the Chicago Board of Education and the Chicago Youth Centers agreed to a settlement, the day trial was scheduled to begin, a personal injury case filed on behalf of a student, who was injured after using a trampoline, for $14,675,000.00. The student was hurt during an extracurricular tumbling class held during his lunch period on Dec. 14, 1992 when he was in the eighth grade at a Chicago Public School.
