$9.5 Million Record-Setting Verdict for Keith Magnuson Family in Wrongful Death Lawsuit
In a trial arising out of the death of one of Chicago’s most beloved hockey players, Keith Magnuson, a jury awarded $9.5 million to the family of the former Chicago Blackhawks defenseman and coach. It's the largest jury verdict for a personal injury and/or wrongful death case in St. Louis County, Missouri. The car Magnuson was a passenger in was driven by Rob Ramage, a retired St. Louis Blues player who was legally drunk. The car crossed the center line and crashed head-on into another vehicle. Magnuson died instantly from head and chest injuries. Corboy & Demetrio attorneys along with St. Louis attorney Grant Davis represented the Magnuson family.
