Chicago Tribune: "Make Work Safe" by Philip Corboy, Jr.

On April 29, 2008, the Chicago Tribune published an editorial essentially stating that Workmen’s Compensation adequately protected construction workers that are injured or killed on a work site and that Illinois’ pending Construction Safety Act was unnecessary. Philip H. Corboy, Jr., disagreed with the editorial and wrote a letter, Make Work Safe, in favor of the legislation, which was published in the Chicago Tribune, on May 8, 2008.
