Philip Corboy, Jr. Named to Top Ten Product Liability Attorneys by IL Leading Lawyers
Corboy & Demetrio Partner Philip Corboy, Jr. was named to Top Ten Product Liability Attorneys -Plaintiff’s in Illinois for 2022 by Leading Lawyers, which has designated him an Illinois Leading Lawyer since 2003, a designation reserved for the top 5% of attorneys in the state.
It's the fourth consecutive year of Philip's selection to the Top Ten list by Leading Lawyers.
“It’s an honor to be selected as one of the top ten product liability attorneys in the entire state because Leading Lawyers bases selection on peer review,” Philip Corboy, Jr. said.
Philip is a highly accomplished trial lawyer having settled or tried to verdict more than 65 cases in which plaintiffs have recovered $1 million or more.
He is a past President of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and a member of the American Association for Justice, where he served as an Illinois State delegate and on its National Board of Governors.
In 2002, Philip was inducted into the invitation-only American College of Trial Lawyers, the country's pre-eminent organization of trial lawyers that limits its membership to those trial lawyers who are outstanding and considered the best in their state.
Philip is widely recognized by his peers as one of the top attorneys in the state of Illinois. Besides his Leading Lawyers designations, he earned the designation of an IL Super Lawyer for the thirteenth year in 2019 and was also named to its Top 100 Illinois lawyers for the tenth year.
Mr. Corboy was selected to the 2019 Edition of Best Lawyers in America for the 13th year, and he was named to the prestigious Irish Legal 100 for the fifth year. In addition, in 2019, Philip was named to Lawdragon 500 Leading Lawyers in America, which is an elite group of the best legal minds in the country, including several U.S. Supreme Court Justices.
Philip is a past President of the Board of Directors of Legal Aid Chicago, Illinois’ largest legal aid program for low income people. He is the 2011-2012 recipient of the DePaul University College of Law Distinguished Alumnus Award.
He devotes much of his time to charitable and not-for-profit endeavors. In 2018, Philip was elected to the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Foundation (USOPF) Board of Directors, after serving as a Trustee of USOPF.
