Tom Demetrio Receives The Lawyers Lend-A-Hand to Youth Barristers Philanthropic Award

Tom Demetrio, name partner and trial lawyer at Corboy & Demetrio, received the Lawyers Lend-A-Hand to Youth Barristers Philanthropic Award at the Lawyers Lend-A-Hand Awards Dinner held Thursday, March 31, 2011 at The Four Seasons Chicago.  The Lawyers Lend-A-Hand to Youth program supports tutoring and mentoring programs for underprivileged children in the Chicago area by members of the legal community.  Originally created by Demetrio when he was President of the Chicago Bar Association in 1993, the program has evolved with the help of the Chicago Bar Association and the legal community.  Currently, Lend-A-Hand awards approximately $200,000 in grants per year to exemplary tutor/mentoring programs.
