Vice President Joe Biden Lauds Late Phil Corboy

Vice President Joe Biden told a group of 700 trial lawyers in Chicago that the late Phil Corboy was “one of the reasons I went to law school” and that Corboy was “a consummate gentleman.”

Biden, speaking to the lawyers attending the convention of the American Association for Justice, paid tribute to Corboy who passed away at the age 87 in June.  Several Corboy & Demetrio partners were in the audience, including Philip Harnett Corboy, Jr., Corboy’s son.

“To have the Vice President of the United States honor my father in that way was very special,” Corboy said.
