Corboy & Demetrio Clients Speak in Support of Dave Duerson Act
Corboy & Demetrio clients, Mike Adamle, Tregg Duerson and Liz Nicholson, spoke in support of the Dave Duerson Act to Prevent CTE during the news conference held by IL State Rep. Carole Sente, D-Vernon Hills, sponsor of the legislation, and Concussion Legacy Foundation. The Act would ban tackle football for children under 12 in Illinois to better protect children from repeated head blows that could lead to brain injury, including concussions and CTE. The Act is named after Dave Duerson, former Chicago Bear player who committed suicide, leaving a note behind to donate his brain to Boston University’s brain bank studying CTE. Testing confirmed Duerson suffered CTE.
