Settlement of $6.8 Million for Injured Pedestrian
A $6.8 million settlement on behalf of Maryalice Worley, 69 years-old, and her 71 year-old husband, Marvin Worley, was agreed to by the parties for injuries Mrs. Worley sustained when she was hit by a PACE bus. Maryalice was crossing Lake Street in Oak Park, Illinois, when the bus made an unscheduled turn. Maryalice fell to the ground, striking her head on the pavement. She sustained serious brain damage and is now confined to a nursing home. The Worleys were represented by partner Francis Patrick Murphy.
