$1.25 Million Settlement for Realtor Killed by Drunk Driver
Prior to filing a lawsuit, the family of a realtor agreed to a settlement of its wrongful death claim against a drunk driver for $1.25 million. The realtor was driving to an open house on U.S. Route 20 in McHenry County, Illinois, when a woman, whose blood-alcohol level was .243, which is three times the legal limit, drove her car across the center line and struck the realtor’s vehicle head-on, killing him. Attorneys Michael Demetrio and William Gibbs represented the family.
