Michelle Kohut Speaker at Women's Law Society, Loyola University Chicago School of Law
Attorney Michelle Kohut was a speaker at the Women’s Law Society of Loyola University Chicago School of Law on Monday, September 20, 2010. She discussed, along with two other attorneys, internship and clerking opportunities, career choices, job opportunities and her personal injury law practice at Corboy & Demetrio. Law students from Loyola attended the event.
“It was wonderful being back at my alma mater. I loved sharing my experiences and insights with the students, who asked a lot of questions and were very gracious,” said Kohut.
About Michelle Kohut
Michelle joined Corboy & Demetrio in 2004 and practices in all areas of personal injury law, including cases arising from automobile collisions, medical malpractice, construction negligence, premises liability, product liability and railroad negligence.
She has tried many personal injury cases to verdict and has obtained numerous multi-million dollar settlements. She is very active in local and national bar associations and presently serves as Financial Secretary of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.
In 2007, in recognition of her success, hard work and community involvement, she was named one of "40 Illinois Attorneys Under Forty to Watch" by the Law Bulletin Publishing Company. She was also honored with the designation of Illinois Super Lawyer, Rising Star in 2008, 2009 and 2010.
A graduate of Loyola University Chicago School of Law, Michelle was a Judicial Law Clerk to William D. Maddux, Presiding Judge of the Law Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County, prior to joining Corboy & Demetrio.
