"Thomas A. Demetrio Award of Excellence" Given to Jewish Child & Family Services

The 2008 "Thomas A. Demetrio Award of Excellence," was given to Jewish Child & Family Services (JCFS), which provides mentors to children living in group homes or foster care. Stacey Shor of JCFS accepted the award from Rita Planera, Legal Assistant at the law firm of Corboy & Demetrio and Lawyers Lend-A-Hand Board Member. The $10,000 award, named in honor of Tom Demetrio, President of Corboy & Demetrio, is given annually to tutoring and mentoring programs that affect the lives of underprivileged youth.
