A university administrator went to the University of Chicago Hospital's emergency room complaining of pain in her shoulders and paralysis from the neck down and waited 30 hours for an MRI, which revealed a spinal abscess. She settled her lawsuit against the Hospital for $1.9 million for not properly diagnosing or treating the abscess. She was represented by Corboy & Demetrio.
