Patrick Murphy Settles Case of Couple Who Fell 4 Stories When Porch Railing Collapsed for $2.15 Million
Francis Patrick Murphy, a trial lawyer and partner with extensive experience in porch and deck collapse cases, represented a couple who settled their lawsuit for $2.15 million against the owners of an apartment building for the injuries they sustained when they fell four stories after a porch railing collapsed. The couple were standing on the outside back porch of an apartment building leaning against the wooden guard rail when the rail pulled away from the porch frame and they fell to the ground. Patrick, who has represented many victims of porch and deck collapses, is presently representing several victims of the Lincoln Park porch collapse and the victim of a deck collapse in Cary, Illinois which was the subject of a Fox TV News report.
Reporter Susan Carlson of CBS Channel 2 TV Chicago interviewed Chicago personal injury lawyer Francis Patrick Murphy, partner at the law firm of Corboy & Demetrio, on the $2.15 million settlement he obtained for his clients who were seriously injured when they fell 4 stories after a porch railing collapsed.
