Corboy & Demetrio Attorney Lumb Speaker at Illinois Trial Lawyers Association Seminar
Kenneth Lumb, an attorney at the Chicago personal injury law firm of Corboy & Demetrio, will be a featured speaker at the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association’s “Settlement, Liens & Insurance Seminar” at the Westin Michigan Avenue Hotel in Chicago, Illinois, on Monday, February 15, 2010. The seminar, produced for lawyers, will provide information on ERISA, uninsured and underinsured claims, Medicare liens, structured settlements and workers’ compensation liens. Lumb will be discussing medical liens and healthcare subrogation.
A graduate of DePaul University College of Law, Lumb has been an attorney at Corboy & Demetrio for 14 years. He represents individuals and their families in personal injury and wrongful death litigation, including medical malpractice and product liability cases. He has obtained numerous multi-million dollar settlements and verdicts, including an $11 million verdict on behalf of a child who suffered brain damage at birth.
Prior to joining Corboy & Demetrio, Lumb was a captain in the Army’s Judge Advocate General’s Corps where he served four years as a Medical Claims Judge Advocate at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Lumb also served as a Special Assistant United States Attorney and continues to serve in the United States Army Reserve as a Major.
Lumb is an author and lectures extensively on legal issues and trends. He is a member of the Leading Lawyers Network, has achieved the highest rating in the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory and is a member of several regional and national bar associations.
