Statement on Behalf of Playpen Boating Crash Victim Lana Batochir
Lana Batochir, a victim of the boating incident in the “Playpen” area of Lake Michigan on Saturday, Aug. 13th, underwent the double amputation of her legs as a result of her feet being severed by the propeller of a boat. The mother of two has completed a series of three surgeries, resulting in the amputation of her legs, 10 inches below her knees.
Corboy & Demetrio has been retained to represent her and is launching an investigation as a preliminary step in potential litigation. Lana is being represented by Corboy & Demetrio Attorneys Thomas A. Demetrio, Francis Patrick Murphy, and Michael D. Ditore.
