Attorney Michelle Kohut Elected President of Women Everywhere - Partners in Service Project, Inc.
Michelle Kohut, a Chicago injury lawyer at Corboy & Demetrio, was elected President of Women Everywhere - Partners in Service Project, Inc. (WE). She will serve a one year term.
“I am very honored to be elected President of this outstanding organization,” said Kohut. “My trial work at Corboy & Demetrio keeps me very busy, but the work of this organization is so important and beneficial, that I am happy and honored to commit my personal time to it.”
Michelle is also active in the other community service work. She is treasurer of the Women's Bar Association of Illinois and recently served on the Board of Directors for the Heartland International Health Center. Is is also a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association.
As a personal injury trial lawyer at Corboy & Demetrio, Michelle handles cases in a wide range of areas, including, automobile collisions, medical malpractice, construction negligence, premises liability and product liability. Prior to joining Corboy & Demetrio, she was a Judicial Law Clerk to William Maddux, Presiding Judge of the Law Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. Michelle is a graduate of Loyola University College of Law and a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Women Everywhere - Partners in Service Project, Inc.
WE, a not-for-profit corporation, is a collaborative effort of nine women’s Bar groups, working together to plan and coordinate volunteer activities on behalf of high school girls, as well as women and children, in need. Through WE, several hundred volunteers, including federal and state judges, attorneys, and friends of the legal community, donate time to the Educational Program and the annual Community Service Day project.
