Lincoln Park Porch Collapse Litigation

Corboy & Demetrio Partner Francis Patrick Murphy represented 14 of the victims or deceased victims' families - the largest number of victims represented by one law firm - in the Lincoln Park porch collapse of 2003.  The tragedy unfolded when at a party filled with young people, a third floor exterior wooden porch collapsed onto the second floor porch and then onto the ground level. As a result, 13 people died and 29 were injured.

A global settlement of $16.6 million has been obtained for the victims.
