Corboy & Demetrio congratulates Schaumburg Professional Firefighters Association, "Pink Tie Ball" on its successful 10th Annual benefit, which was held on Friday, April 5, 2024, and is dedicated to raising money to fight cancer and helping community members currently fighting cancer.
Corboy & Demetrio was proud to attend in support of Shield 23 Foundation Inc, which was one of four organizations to receive proceeds from the benefit.
Shield 23 raises and gifts funds to firefighters battling cancer and their families. It was founded by Shenan Constantino and her family after her husband Russell Constantino, a 20-year Gurnee Fire Department Firefighter and Paramedic, died from job-related brain cancer when he was 46 years old. Shenan is pictured with Shield 23’s Event Planner Evelyn Wagoner.
Ball Attendees were encouraged to wear colors that represent awareness colors of different types of cancer. Corboy & Demetrio’s table wore light blue, the color for awareness of prostate cancer, and grey, the color for awareness of brain cancer, in honor of Russell Constantino. Many of Corboy & Demetrio’s clients in its PFAS litigation against the makers of turnout gear have developed prostate cancer.
